The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 10: WHAT: Serious Injury Traffic Crash with Road Closure WHERE: Route 136 at the intersection of Champaign County 1200 East WHEN: May 29, 2017 at 3:57 am VEHICLES: Unit 1: Blue 2000 Chevrolet 1500 Pick-up Unit 2: Gray 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix DRIVERS: Unit 1: Breanna Evhon Maple 20 Years Old, Armstrong, IL Unit 2: Ashley J. Bode 28 Years Old, Gibson City, IL PASSENGERS: None PRELIMINARY: According to the preliminary traffic crash investigation, the driver of the blue Chevrolet pick-up, Unit 1, failed to stop at the stop sign on Champaign County 1200 East as she was traveling northbound. The Gray Pontiac, Unit 2, was traveling eastbound on Route 136 when Unit 1 failed to stop at the stop sign pulling in front of unit 2. Unit 2 struck unit 1 causing both units to leave the roadway. The driver of unit 1 was ejected from the vehicle. Both drivers suffered serious injuries none appear to be life threating. TRANSPORTS: Driver of unit 1 was transported by Air Life to area hospital. Driver of unit 2 was transported by ambulance to area hospital SEATBELTS: Driver of unit 1 was not wearing a seatbelt. Driver of unit 2 was wearing seatbelt CHARGES: The driver of Unit 1 was cited for Disobeying a traffic control device and Failure to wear seatbelt. All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Arrested: 15 year old Hoopeston juvenile
Details: HPD officers located juvenile at the library and wanted to speak to him about a
battery investigation. Subject immediately got physical with the officers and
tried to resist arrest. He was arrested, taken to HPD and processed. He was later
transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Danville to await arraignment.

Complainant: 20 year old Hoopeston male
Arrested: 15 year old Hoopeston juvenile
Details: HPD was called in reference to an armed robbery. Complainant advised officers
that the arrested subject has robbed him while using a knife. Subject was later
located, arrested and taken to HPD for processing. He was later transported to
the Juvenile Detention Center in Danville to await arraignment.
Theft of Motor Vehicle (Solved) H17-1612
Arrested: 15 year old Hoopeston male
Details: After an investigation, a 15 year old male was arrested for the theft of a motor
vehicle and burglary to auto that occurred on May 21, 2017. Subject was arrested
and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center in Danville to await arraignment.

Details: Officers were dispatched to Dollar General in reference to items being taken from the store. Officers later located the juvenile, charged him with the above, transported him to HPD where he was later released to a parent.

Disobeying Police Officer H17-1560

Arrested: 17 year old Hoopeston female
Details: Officers responded to the above for an altercation between a group of people.
The 17 year old subject was told at another time to have no further contact
with the other parties on the scene. She was taken into custody and charge
with Disobeying Police by disobeying a direct order. She was transported
to HPD where she was issued a Notice to Appear in Hoopeston City court and
was released to her parent.

Details: At the above time and date officers were called out for a motorcycle that had

ASHKUM, IL- Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Jacob P. Pitts, 35, of St. Anne for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs.
On May 1, 2017 at approximately 11:18 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County. The trooper observed a vehicle with only one headlight illuminated. The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Jacob Pitts. Pitts showed signs of alcohol and drug impairment. Pitts was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County jail for processing. Pitts was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs. Pitts was also issued citations for improper lighting, driver’s license not on person, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

ASHKUM, IL- Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of Carolyn M. Madden, 53, of Oak Forest; Ervin L. Brown, 52, of Chicago for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
On April 28, 2017 at approximately 4:30 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was dispatched to a crash on I-57 northbound at mile post 288.5. The trooper arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Carolyn Madden. Madden showed signs of alcohol impairment and was placed under arrest and transported to the Iroquois County Jail for processing. Madden was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While License Suspended. Madden was also issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and improper lane usage.
On April 28, 2017 at approximately 11:03 P.M., an Illinois State Trooper was on patrol in Kankakee County. The trooper observed a vehicle driving all over the roadway. The trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Ervin Brown. Brown showed signs of alcohol impairment and was placed under arrest and transported to the Kankakee County jail for processing. Brown was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and issued a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol.
