Sena Ann Legg, 63, of Danville, IL, passed away at 11:38 A.M. Monday, April 7, 2026, at her home in Danville, IL. She was born May 26, 1962, in Cedar Lake, IN, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Hankel) King. She married John Brys and together they had four children. She later married Robert Legg in Watseka, IL, and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Venetta Brys; her three sons, John, Bryan, and Roger Brys; three sisters, Connie Lindsay, Debbie Soprnaut, and Peggy King; 3 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Robert, Sena was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Gary King.

Sena was a homemaker. She served in the United States Army. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and doing puzzles.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Danville National Cemetery, 1900 E. Main St., Danville, IL. Military rites will be accorded by the Danville American Legion Post #210.

Patti (Ervin) Ziemnisky, 69, of Cheneyville, IL, passed away at 7:10 A.M. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at her home. She was born on August 20, 1956, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Donald and Lawanda (Goble) Ervin. She married Paul Ziemnisky on October 27, 1995, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hoopeston. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2023.

She is survived by two stepsons, Paul (Cindy) Ziemnisky Jr. of Libertyville, IL and Chris (Kendra) Ziemnisky of Danville, IL; three sisters, Karen (Russ) Rudd of Hoopeston, IL, Sharon Boardman of Chandler, AZ, and Julie (Bob) Burd of Watseka, IL; three brothers, Dave (Charlene) Ervin of Hoopeston, IL, Randy (Sharon) Ervin of Dewey, IL, and Ron (Betty) Ervin of Littleton, CO; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Paul, Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lawanda Ervin.

Patti was a homemaker. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hoopeston. She loved gardening, cooking, photography, and making crafts. Patti also loved butterflies, hummingbirds, and especially her cats.

A private family service will be held.

In Loving Memory of Lucinda Kay Johnson.

Celebrating the Life of a Devoted Wife, Mother, Sister, and Grandmother.

It is with profound sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Lucinda Johnson, “Lucy”, “Cindy”, or more infamously known by many as “Momma J”. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her life.

For nearly 44 years, Lucinda was a dedicated wife to Bruce Johnson; their marriage was an inspiring testament to love and partnership; she will be deeply missed by him. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her three children; she leaves behind Eric (Hannah) Johnson, Shawn (Megan) Johnson, and Samone Johnson. Her five grandchildren were the lights of her life; Emily Johnson, Jovan Walker, Evelyn Johnson, Darius Johnson, and Jude Johnson will miss their grandma so much. Her family was always at the center of her world. She was a loving sister to Lori (James) Johnson, who survives.  She also leaves behind many nephews, whom she loved very much and enjoyed spending time with whenever she had the opportunity.

Her nurturing spirit did not stop at home—she spent over 30 years as a nurse, starting as a nurse in a nursing home in Watseka, IL.  She spent many years working in different emergency rooms, including one in Las Vegas, NV. She finished her career on Tower 9 at Carle Foundation Hospital, caring for patients with a gentle hand and a compassionate heart. Her calling to be a nurse and serve others was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a mentor to many nurses and was well loved amongst her coworkers.

She had a wide range of interests that brought her immense joy. She loved to read and craft when she had the time. Evenings spent watching her favorite TV shows, surrounded by loved ones, were moments she cherished.

She loved to travel whenever she could and enjoyed seeking out new experiences.  Her trip to Hawaii, and the Alaskan cruise that she took, were special trips that she had always wanted to take. Whether discovering distant destinations or simply enjoying a weekend getaway, she approached every journey with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Above all, she will be remembered for her boundless capacity to care for others. She made everyone around her feel seen, heard, and valued. Friends and family alike found comfort in her presence, knowing she would always be there to listen, support, and offer kindness.

Her life was a tapestry woven with love, service, and unforgettable memories. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the incredible impact she had on all of us. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, and she will remain forever in our hearts.

We love you and will miss you deeply.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Connexion Church, 2915 Townway Road, Danville, IL. Funeral services will follow immediately at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Matt Harmless officiating. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will take place after the services. Paul Ray Maze, 46, of Danville, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born September 19, 1979, in Champaign, IL, to Paul J. and Connie (Mizell) Maze.

He is survived by his mother, Connie (Jerry) Anderson of Danville, IL; his son, Logan Maze of Rantoul, IL; his brother, Jim (Nicki Moses) Saathoff of Gifford, IL; sisters Lindsey (John) Bridgman of Potomac, IL and Rebecca Anderson of Oakwood, IL; step-sister Jerralyn Smith of Corbin, KY; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his nephew Lucas Lawrence and maternal grandparents Ken and Ella Mizell.

Throughout his life, Paul worked primarily as a truck driver for J&W Trucking and, most recently, West Jersey Express. He belonged to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Gifford, IL. Paul enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley, embracing his love for loud exhaust with the motto, "Loud Pipes Save Lives."

Visitation will be from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Holden officiating.  Burial will follow in Partlow Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family to assist with Paul’s expenses.  The Blurton Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gerald D. Roberts, 93, of Penfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Gerald was born on July 9, 1932, at Lake View Hospital, Danville, IL, a son of Everette (Dutch) and Lavona (Creighton) Roberts.  He married Genevieve Miller on June 1, 1958, at Bismarck Christian Church in Bismarck.

He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda (Paul) Sullivan of Burlington, WI, two sons, Tracy (Dana) of Burlington, WI and Larry (Shelly) of Penfield, six grandchildren, Candace Freeman, Cory (Jami) Roberts, Kami (Michael) Rademacher, Alex (Kelsey) Sullivan, Jake (Amanda) Sullivan, and Casey (Matt) Balkowski, eleven great-grandsons, Landon, Carter, Traxton, Brocktyn, Kashton, Rexley, Brekyn, Grayden, Lukas, Jordan and Peter and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Genny, and brother Dwight.

Gerald graduated from Armstrong Township High School as valedictorian of the class of 1950.  He started farming with his dad and took over the farm north of Gifford the next year.  He was drafted in 1953 and served 2 years in Korea being discharged as a Sergeant.  In 1970 he moved to farm north of Penfield where Larry’s family carries on the legacy of Roberts’ Farms today.

Gerald was a member of the #10 Church of Christ and served on church boards, Gifford elevator board, Penfield Grade School Board, Champaign County PCA Board, Champaign County Farm Bureau Board, Illini FS Board and Champaign County Zoning Board. He valued the many friendships he made throughout his life.

Gerald’s family, farming, and his faith were the mainstays of his life.  He enjoyed farming regardless of the season, but harvest was the highlight of the year for him.  There was something about the long hours and rush to get the crops out that made him continue farming for over 70 years. 

He spent many hours following the activities of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandsons which made him a proud grandpa.  Only church on Sunday and family activities could make him take a break from farming.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the #10 Church of Christ, 27019 N 470 East Rd, Potomac, IL, followed immediately by a celebration of life service at 12:00 pm led by Pastor Gary Davis.  Burial will take place following the service at Partlow Cemetery, Armstrong.  The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac, to assist them in honoring Gerald’s life.

Norma Jean Irvin, 90, of rural Wellington, IL, passed away at 8:57 A.M. Friday, December 12, 2025, at her home. She was born June 30, 1935, in Prairie Green Township, the daughter of Gerald and Lillian (Swartz) Totheroh. She married Charles Wayne Irvin on December 30, 1955. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2008.

She is survived by her daughter, Penny Irvin of Wellington, IL; her son, Mike Irvin of Normal, IL; one sister-in-law, Barbara Irvin; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Edye (Tom) Bookwalter; and her godchildren, Lucas (Lisa) Burge and Samantha (Steve) Bruens.

In addition to her husband, Norma was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Maurice and Robert Totheroh.

Norma worked as a cook at Wellington school. She was a member of Prairie Green Church of Christ where she was very active serving as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Norma enjoyed watching Illini basketball and spending time with her family.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 10, 2026, at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL with Pastor Dustin Wells officiating.

Lillian Maxine Criblez, aged 99 and a resident of Potomac, died on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Hawthorne Inn in Danville.

Born November 1, 1926, on a farm near Hoopeston, she was the daughter of Richard E. and Laura Nettie (McGlaughlin) Holt. Lillian married Allan Criblez at the #10 Church of Christ on June 19, 1948; he passed away on April 29, 2001.

She leaves behind three daughters—Kay Stevens of Arvada, CO, Mary Criblez of Westminster, CO, and Julie (Jack) Moore of Potomac; one son, Robert Criblez of Potomac; a son-in-law, Larry (Karen) Morgan of Rossville; nine grandchildren: Darcy (Aaron) Dees, Aaron (Alycia) Criblez, Matthew (Amy) Morgan, Roy (Karina) Stephens, Amanda (Christopher) Huston, Becy (Brian) Russell, Micki Criblez, Tim (Niki) Morgan, and Karen (Ben) Reichard; 18 great-grandchildren; one expected great-great grandchild; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, daughter Ann Morgan, sisters Helen, Evelyn, and Richardeen, as well as a great-grandchild, preceded her in death.

Lillian graduated from Armstrong High School in 1944 and Illinois Commercial College in 1945. She worked after school for the Treasury Department and later at Industrial Glove Company. As an active member of the #10 Church of Christ, she served as church secretary for three decades and also taught Sunday School. She dedicated herself to her roles as housewife, farmer, and landowner, enjoying gardening, flowers, pets, animals, and sewing. Above all, she cherished time spent with family.

The Criblez family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Hawthorne Inn and Traditions Health Hospice for the compassionate care provided during Lillian’s final days.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the #10 Church of Christ, followed immediately by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. led by Pastor Gary Davis. Burial will take place at Embury Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the #10 Church of Christ in Lillian's memory.
